Sensory Integration

Blooming Possibilities supports Sensory Integration through a holistic approach that looks at the child, the environment, and the social implications that affect the sensory systems. While supporting sensory systems in the short term, we work to integrate and strengthen the systems together. This framework supports regulation in children across the lifespan taking a specific look at their individual sensory needs.

DIR Floor Time

Developmental Individual Relationship (DIR) Floor Time is a play-based approach to support children with their individual needs. The focus of this model is to develop a relationship with the child by meeting them where they are developmentally. Then, through utilizing the relationship therapists work to support them in developing skills based on their interests and needs. DIR Floor Time works great to support general regulation and supports the treatment of ADHD, ADD, Autism, and motor planning challenges.

Therapeutic Listening

Therapeutic Listening: Whole Body Listening is a program that is utilized to support sensory integration through the use of modulated music and specific headphones. During our sessions we work together to find the “Just Right Music” form a therapeutic perspective. The music is designed to stimulate a variety of sensory centers in the brain to support them working together and finding calm/regulation for the child. This program works great for kids with ADHD, ADD, Autism, general dysregulation, and motor planning challenges.
